How to Activate your New Device on the Verizon Network

This guide will explain how to activate a new device on the Verizon network if you have an existing account.

You can activate your new device by visiting Verizon.com or via the My Verizon App.

Follow these steps to active your new device online:

1. Sign into your account.

2. Navigate to manage all devices .

3. Click Activate your own devices .

4. Click Activate an existing line and select the number you want to activate the phone on.

To activate your new device via the My Verizon App:

1. Sign into your account

2. Navigate to " Devices"

3. Select device and click " Activate or Switch device"

Activate a New Android Smartphone:

If you're switching from an iPhone®, ensure iMessage is turned off by navigating: to Settings>Messages>iMessage
Save contacts and content on your old phone using the Content Transfer Center.
Power both phones down.
If necessary, insert the SIM card into the new Android™ phone.
Power on the new phone then follow the on-screen prompts to complete activation and setup.
Restore your content to the new phone using the Content Transfer Center.

Activate a New iPhone:

Save contacts and content on your old phone using the Content Transfer Center.

If you use iCloud or iTunes, you can transfer content, sync contacts or sync media.
Power both phones down.
If necessary, insert the SIM card into the new phone.
Power on the new phone then follow the on-screen prompts to complete activation and setup.
Restore your content to the new phone using the Content Transfer Center or the other options listed in step 1.
