Verizon account is not active Elitebook 840 g2

Hello I am using HP Eliteboob 840 g2 laptop. Wifi network is not showing on my laptop due to unactive verizon. I opened my laptop after 2 months. How to activate verizon service? Is there any other way to get the WiFi networks on my laptop? I don't have verizon account. I bought the laptop from my friend and sim was already inserted in the laptop.

Have you disabled Cellular Service in the laptop's Settings, if possible?

Hi there! You would want to apply for your own service in your name. You can do this from the Web Site, by calling our Sales Team, or visiting a local Store. You would need a new SIM as we would not be able to use one that was used on another account.

I don't have any device. I bought laptop from my friend. The sim was already inserted in the laptop, and It was working.
