I've searched the forums for my question and no luck so here goes.
When did Verizon require use of an emulator to hijack your phone camera and take video of the inside of your home as a condition of installation and use of the Lte extender?
Happened today. They wouldnt allow installation or use unless I allowed them to do this.
TIA

Sometimes a visual inspection can help with certain troubleshooting & installations. It is entirely voluntary and can always be denied at the customer’s end. For anyone seeking additional support with Network Extender installation, I highly recommend this FAQ for the Network Extender: https://www.verizon.com/support/4g-lte-network-extender-faqs/

None of the several LTE Network Extenders I've had and installed over the years required such invasion of privacy. What was the agent trying to verify? Were you trying to have the MAC ID added to your account and the network databases?

Great question. Where as using the camera to verify the equipment is plugged in and setup correctly, It is not required. In fact, generally the LTE Extender should activate on it's own as long as it is plugged in and in an area with relatively clear line of sight to a window.
