Ellipsis jetpack

I am paying 12 bucks a month for an ellipsis jet pack I have never set up or used.  I was told I really needed it when i bought it several years  ago.  Now it is obsolete and I can never used it.  I tried to stop paying for it.  The website told me I could then it told me I couldn't.  So which is it?  Can I disconnect it or am I stuck with it until I drop verizon?  I am embarrassed and upset by all of this.

Hello, Enoch327, thanks for reaching out about your Ellipsis. We only want you to be paying for services that you are actively using. You mentioned that you saw something that said you could not stop paying for the service on this device. Can you please clarify what you saw? Do you currely have a prepaid or postpay account?

I was told by the chat guy that I could go to my plans and change my plans.  When I tried I was told I could not.  I also went to the Tomball Texas store.  I was told there that while they could sell plans they couldn't actually change plans after they had been sold.  Is there any hope for me?  This is a very convoluted system.  Almost Byzantine.

My plan is the new verizon plan single smartphone 5GB.  I pay 76 dollars a month for it, if that helps.

There are some things we can't do online or  in store.  We have to call.  So that is what I shall do.   This has been very informative.
