Play Music - Cannot play music from SD card or internal memroy

I've loaded a lot of MP3 music on my Ellipsis 7 both to internal memory and to the SDcard. When I select Play Music the app does not see the music. When I open setting from the Play Music app menu the "storage location" option is grayed out. Any help in getting the Play Music app to allow setting the storage location would be appreciated. Tablet has Adroid version 4.4.2, Software version MV7b_41D37_442. Checking for updates returns that my tablet is up to date.

By chance, is your Play Music app up to date? If yes, have you tried uninstalling the latest update to the app to see if the SD card functionality returns?
