Unable to connect through an unlocked Galaxy S8

Hi,

I purchased an unlocked version of the Galaxy S8 and although I activated it on Verizon, the 4G LTE Network Extender doesn't seem to be compatible. Is it because I have an unlocked version of the phone (not carrier dependent at all) and not a Verizon version?

As more and more people have BYOD phones, the network and the network extenders need to learn how to accept those BYOD phones.

Well the link provided by NAANSALAD wasn't too helpful as I looked at that link myself. Your comment isn't too helpful either, but no worries as I'll probably return to AT&T where my extended works. I don't think it should matter whether my phone was unlocked or tethered to Verizon, as I'm paying you the full monthly fee regardless.
