Right after I started using my tablet I don't think I even had the sim card in it yet, it must have made connection to an available wifi and my tablet started acting super strange, I couldn't get it to do anything after a few minutes and had to hold the power button down to get it to restart.
After restarting it showed a message saying the Verizon update was installed correctly. Then it acted weird and turned off then restarted showing the same message, I tried to go online to find out what happened so I put the SIM card in it and it showed me the same message, I set it up quickly turned off the wifi and couldn't do anything on line. Since I am familiar with the web I figured my date might not be set right and saw the time we way off, but u know that it will be the year that will cause these problems. When i checked it was set to Jan 1 1970!
I set it and saw that my time was wrong again, I checked and it was back to 1970 so I unchecked allow automatic time setting and set it again. All was good, then I get the message again, and again, so I look to find out what updated and it showed the last update was installed 01 Jan 1970!
I also noticed that the update was an older update and when I had it check for new updates it couldn't connect to the server, that's why I'm here now, I still have Android 4. Something and I have another exact tablet and it has version 5.1.1 installed.
I'm stull getting random messages and locked screens when I check for an update now the page does nothing, it quickly flashes the checking for update message but it instantly goes away before it can be read.
How do i get this tablet up to date now I'm thinking the first update has ruined any new updates from ever installing.
