When I try to set up messaging I get a error message....
This mobile number does not have permission to send messages. Please contact the Account Owner for this mobile number to change permissions.

To text from the tablet, you need to have Integrated Messaging or another text app installed, and linked to an actual phone number on your account. The texts will be sent to and from your phone number, not the tablet's number.
As far as I know, the tablet does not have texting capabilities on it's own - it has to be linked to phone.
