efficient Hotspot Data usage

Question

I have several hundred webpage is open on my computer browser. Some of them are YouTube's, but I watch very few or read very few of them while I'm using a hotspot. Am  I being charge for all of them being open on my browser - because my Data Usage is running up very quickly for some reason.
