I have a question about the policy of Verizon unlocking phones after 60 days. I upgraded and will be giving the phone to my mom with tmobile after it unlocks in 60 days. My question is this, is it enough if I put my current verizon post paid sim into the new phone and use it for a few minutes and then go back to my old phone or do I have to use the new phone for 60 days as my main phone for the 60 days to count? Thank you!
If you upgraded through Verizon, then the device will automatically unlock 60 days after purchase. If the device was purchased through an authorized retailer, the device will unlock 60 days after activation. Is this information helpful?
