Call Forwarding

Has anybody gotten call forwarding for you cell phone to work. Calling *72, the supposed solution offered on Verizon Wireless' website for my phone (an old LG VX5200) sends me to a recording that that Verizon call cannot be completed as dialed (is there another way to dial this?).

Woks for me fine all the time, but you must be in the VZW coverage area (not extended or roaming network). To enable immediate CF, dial *72 plus the 10 digit phone number and then Send/Call. You will hear a dial tone. To turn off dial *73 Send/Call.

For conditional call forwarding (no answer/busy transfer), it's the same as above but *71 instead.

Customer Care will enable this for you if you are having problems. But then you would probably have to call them do disable it if *73 doesn't work.
