Welcome to the boards. If you go to Feature Phones on this site, none of those listed will have a data requirement. Here are the feature phones with music players:

Samsung Intensity II

Pantech Jest

Samsung Convoy

Motorola Barrage

VZW CDM8975

The Intensity and Jest have QWERTY keyboards for easy texting. The Convoy and Barrage are rugged flip phones. The CDM8975 is a basic, inexpensive flip phone.

There are also 3G/Multimedia phones with music players, but those require the $10 data package.

I don't have personal experience with the speakerphones on these (maybe someone else will chime in here), but I would read some of the user reviews listed for each phone you're considering. Many reviewers mention the speakerphone quality and volume.

As someone else mentioned in another thread, Verizon will likely be coming out with new feature phones before the end of the year as well. Good luck deciding!
