Can’t activate due to pending order

I bought a new phone almost a week ago, and I am not able to activate it due to a “pending order.” I have talked to several representatives, have spent several hours on the phone, I’ve gone into the store, and have put 2 work orders in and still do not have a phone activated due to this mysterious, “pending order” that nobody can even tell me exactly what it is. I haven’t ordered anything and nobody is able to find the “pending order” on my acct, let alone get rid of it or cancel it. I am BEYOND frustrated!! What do I do? Return the phone? Go back to AT&T?

I am so sorry that you cannot activate your phone due to a pending order, Jennifer_royal. I would be just as upset.

Where did you purchase the phone from? Did you get any response from the work orders that were opened?

I purchased the phone online and picked the phone up from a store. We went back to the store for a second time today and they ended up giving us a temporary phone number. Still waiting on the work order to be completed I guess. No word on how long that will take or if anyone is even working on it. All they could tell us was that the order hadn’t been completed.
