For years I have enjoyed good service with Verizon wireless, but in the last month or so I have had numerous dropped calls and will experience periods of signal loss and garbled reception during calls. This happens from various locations that I have had no problems with in the past. This happens with not just my phone but with all the other phones on my plan also. Again there have been no problems in the past but is now a big problem. I have accepting all of my updates on the phone. Is there a reason for this and will it be corrected? Thank you.

Zip code?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

We always want to be sure your service is working the way it should ZER05286. We are happy to help. Ann154 asked a great question. Are you able to confirm the zip code where you are having trouble? Any issues with data/text?

ZER05286, that is quite a large area to have issues in. Let's work to narrow this down. Does it improve anywhere else? If so, how far away? Do you notice this at certain times of the day?

I'm having the same issue as well. I live in 48178. Years I've gone without dropped calls. Now, I probably have 6 per day, along with the rest of my family. Calls drop for 5-10 seconds and sometimes come back. Others, I lose the call completely and have to call back. A co-worker asked me last week if I recently have been getting dropped calls with Verizon. I'm glad to see the original post here. Obviously this is a Verizon service issue, or possibly related to the recent update.

That's definitely far too many dropped calls, Domius. I'd like to look further into this as well. Can you tell me what make/model phone you have? Do you know if you have/ use Advanced Calling or WiFi Calling? Is there any pattern, such as location, time of day, certain numbers your're calling, or when using other functions on your phone?
Please elaborate to better assist you.

That last thing I would want to see is for you to leave us, Lsn97. Let's work on finding a solution. I do see that there has been a number of different zip codes provided in this thread, can you clarify the nearest intersection and city where you're experiencing this issue? When did this issue first start happening? Any trouble with data or text messages?

Jack1938, making sure all of your phone calls are connecting correctly is important. Allow us the opportunity to investigate. When did this concern start? Are all phone calls impacted? Does this issue occur while you are indoors or outdoors?

Hello,
I have a Samsung GS8. My fiance has a Samsung GS7. My coworker has a GS8 as well. I can't say I use Advanced or WiFi calling. No pattern at all. It happens in the car, at home, etc. It happens calling each other, calling my sister who uses a different service other than Verizon. It happens using handsfree bluetooth and using it in a normal use.
There's nothing to tie it to that I can figure it out besides a phone/software issue.

I am also having this issue. Zip code is 23838 but I am very near 23831. I am sitting in my home, with my phone on the desk on speaker, not moving and I loose my call. This is happening multiple times a day.

I would equally be upset if my phone calls dropped too, Fayemo.I am sure we will figure out what is going on with your service. I did review the area and do not see any outages. Is anyone else having this issue? How is your service when you go outside? Is your other services working? (data and text) AmberF_VZW

I have been having the same issue. I drive from home to work in a 20 minute period I drop calls 3-4 different times or, more driving on a route I have done for 7 years now before was no issue. I am very frustrated and spend way too much money for my service quality to be dropping my husband and I and our son all got new phones earlier in the year and I would not think it would be phones but, this is past ridiculous. I have been thinking there are better services out there or, there has to be something that can be improved.
My son and I have the iPhoneX and my husband has the Samsung Galaxy S9.

We hope that you allow us to continue as your wireless provider. It's important to us that you have reliable service. Your devices are designed to retrieve signal from the best and nearest wireless tower in the area. As a result, it's normal for signal to fluctuate. Have you powered your device off/on since this issue started? Did you recently update the software on your phone?

I originally signed up with Alltell because they were the only provided that worked at my home. In the last few weeks I have experienced many dropped calls and several calls that I could not communicate because the signal was breaking up. This is very discouraging. I would change to a different provider, but I am currently under contract. I have this problem inside and outside my home. I am using a Samsung Note 8 and I live in the Swansboro, NC area. My zip code is 28539.

It saddens us that you want to leave the Verizon Family, and we certainly would not want to see you. It's concerning to hear that you're dropping calls at all. Do you know if this is happening to anyone else in the area? You mentioned that this has been happening just in the past couple of weeks. Do you know of any changes to the device or settings that happened around the time this started happening with your device?

I have the same issue as well with my account, I commute 70 miles everyday and my call quality was always great.... until I switched from 16gb to unlimited. Now I have terrible call quality and dropped calls constant with no way to return to my old plan where I could actually use my phone. The reason being? Because Verizon removes your voice LTE feature when you switch to unlimited without ANY warning. I used to work for them and $309 a month it nor worth the way business has been conducted recently. I’d be willing to bet that a majority of your service complaints stem from the usage of Verizon’s unlimited network.
