Fee to Upgrade our Phone's

How many other psople are tired of paying our cell phone carriers more money and get nothing in return fir ut. I am outrages about the new 30.00 fee to upgrade our device. We all signed a contract when we renewed and now the yare saying all customers must pay this fee. I believe if we are still under a contract then we are not required to pay until after this upgrade goes thru. I have 2 lines that are eligiable in November of this year and two due in March of next year.

Your contract doesn't cover your NEXT upgrade - you agreed to keep your current lines of service active for 24 months in exchange for a discounted device. There was nothing in the contract about an upgrade in 20 months; it's something Verizon does and they can change the parameters at any time. It is NOT part of the contract.

When it comes time for you to upgrade, in November and March, terms may have changed yet again. I wouldn't be all upset now if you aren't going to be upgrading till at least November - holiday deals and all, it may be a non-issue by then. And once your contract is over, shop around and take a better deal if you can find one. Most all carriers charge an upgrade fee, you need to look at phones, service, plan configurations, and other things to see what the best deal is for YOU. Maybe Verizon, maybe not, but YOU need to make that decision. Good luck!
