I recently performed a change of liability from a business account to a personal account. After the move, I wanted to upgrade my phone which I've had for 3 years. I initially tried to do this at a 3rd Party Retailer, who tried to do it, but when contacting the verification number, I was told they couldn't approve it because the account had been open less than 60 days. I've had this same phone and number with verizon for 3 years, it was just moved to a different account. They said I could only do the upgrade at a Verizon Store.
Went to the verizon store. Associate was told to call the Fraud Department when he tried to run the credit application for the upgrade. When doing the verification, I was asked 4 questions. 1 was about my license plate number which i know was correct, but the other 3 were referencing/asking about people I do not even know, or don't recall knowing. Anyways, they said that I would need to send in a copy of my drivers license and a utility bill.
Cool, I have a drivers license that is still valid. Here is where I am having a problem. I am currently full time RVing. I have no permanent address, and thus no utility bills. I do have a PO Box set up where I receive mail, but I was told my drivers license must match my mail. I can't do that because I can't have a PO Box on my drivers license.
How in the [removed] do I fix this so that I can get a new phone? I have my drivers license, social security card, birth certificate. I am the same person I have been, with the exception of not currently living in a fixed location.
