How do I find out how to get out of my contract? Ive read if I'm in the edge program I can get out with no cost just what I owe on the phone is this true? I am thinking of cutting off all phones for a while...
If you disconnect your lines completely, you will lose the numbers. You will be responsible for service charges through the day you disconnect (or port to another carrier) plus the remaining balance of your device/s.
Actually, Verizon does not pro-rate the last month of service so they would be responsible for service charges through the last day of the billing cycle of the month you disconnect.
The OP can either pay off the balance of the phone and then disconnect or disconnect and then Verizon will send them a bill for the balance due on the phone.:smileyhappy:
