Worst case scenario it takes 1-2 billing cycles to apply. Since it was 6 years ago and it didn't apply, maybe they didn't have enough info or something, and was never applied. That's impossible to go back that far. If you call Customer Service they might be able to go 2 months back or so.

Good afternoon tatiasc1,

I'm glad to see that you have now registered to get an employee discount. I understand that you attempted to register for your discount some time ago and it was never applied. Lamentably we cannot make employee discounts retroactive. Please allow 1-2 bill cycles for discount to appear on your bill and contacts if you don't see it applied within this time frame. Have a great day!

I didn't even KNOW there was such a discount until I discovered it by accident today.  Now I feel cheated and robbed of literally hundreds or maybe thousands of dollars.  I imagine you are as upset as I am!  6 years at $25/month is $1,800 that Verizon has overcharged you.  In what universe that you want to be a part of is this acceptable?

It wouldn't be nearly that much a month. At most it would have been enough to cover partial taxes. Teachers weren't eligible to get $20+ off a bill till about a month ago and that's with the newer unlimited plans.
