Is this because of the iPhone? This is one of the nice perks that Verizon had that kept me with them for so long.

It could be one of many influencing factors, but it is more likely to be a coincidence than anything else.
All that really changes is you won't get the NE2 credit of $30 or $50, and contracts signed after Jan. 16 won't be able to upgrade 12 months in. You can still upgrade at month 20.
Yeah, it's a real disappointment. I wish Verizon would keep around the features that everyone seems to like.
On the positive side, the PACKERS WON THE SUPER BOWL!!
