Slow 4G LTE in Nashville

I live in Nashville, which has pretty good 4G coverage, but am getting terrible download speeds of .59Mbps or less during business hours. Around 5:30, the speeds will creep up and by 6:30, they're pretty fast (last test was 5.99Mbps). The increased speed at night does me no good, as I use my wireless connection when I get home. Verizon C/S worked with me a few weeks ago and determined it was my phone, and sent a replacement, but I've seen no improvement with the new unit. Very frustrating to pay such a premium for the data plan, when it's virtually unusable during the day.....so much so, that often, Speedtest.net cannot finish testing upload speeds due to poor speed. I almost always show 4 bars, so I'm at a loss at how this can be happening.

Have you checked to see if the Data is Down in your Area) Verizon could be working on the system or the Local Land line Company that provides the Data working in your particular Area) I'd Call customer service and have them Check the Area and while on the phone with them it might not be a bad Idea to have them Check your PRL = Preferred Roaming List if you need it updated it can updated by C.S. you'll need to shut your Device off them Turn it back on to help push the new updated List..

Yeah, just wish it would flow from 8-5, when I really need it. It's 10:00am here in Nashville, and I'm pulling .93Mbps....not quite the 4G that I'm paying for.

He's right, 4g in Nashville is a hit or miss right now. I'm in the urban core and once it hits 5pm speeds go to the garbage can....

It's funny because when I'm going to work certain towers I can hit between 30-50mbps on... but none of them are downtown. We're overextended, hopefully aws will be rolled out soon.

Let's get to the bottom of this speed issue! Given the hours outlined in your post, it may be related to network congestion. You mentioned that you talked to our tech support; did we submit a resolution ticket for your area? If so, please provide the NRB number provided. Also, what's your phone model? Try reprogramming by removing your SIM card for a minute and then reinsert and test.

Yes, there was a resolution ticket submitted for the Nashville area, but I didn't keep the number. The rep told me it was determined to be a hardware issue, so a new phone was sent (Galaxy Note 2), but the slow 4G issue remains. I've also tried , on both phones, resetting the sim card, but that has also not helped. Could it be a bad sim card? It's the same one from my old phone.

I have an iphone 5 and have been experiencing horrible LTE speeds in downtown Nashville for the last couple weeks. It's so bad during the day, that I just turn off LTE altogether since 3G is better than nothing. As soon as I get out of the city or if I switch over to wireless, speeds are fine.

I have an iPhone 5 and live right next to Vanderbilt. The LTE service has been horrendous for about 2 months now. It seems to get worse every day. It's obviously a bandwidth issue. At 1:30am I get 8 down, but during the day i get less than edge. It's ridiculous to pay $170 a month and get awful data service. Something has to be done about this. At least tell us if you are adding more towers and when!?!

The zip code is 37203. It's an Apple iPhone 5. The slowness occurs both indoors and outdoors and pretty much all around a 1-2 mile radius near the West End Avenue/Vanderbilt area.

Average speed test on my phone with 3G during these peak times is .32Mbps.

Average speed test on my phone with LTE during these peak times is .05Mbps or frequently just times out altogether

The same speed test with LTE jumps to 10Mbps+ when I get out of Nashville.

Thanks, but I've figured out that it's bandwidth congestion. I work about a mile from the Nashville Airport, and decided to test in our parking lot, and then every block (heading away from the airport) and see what I found. In our parking lot, it was so slow that it couldn't even finish the test. At one block away, it improves slightly, but at two, my speeds were 29.00mbps.....blazing fast. Same results heading back....the closer I got to the airport, the worse the download speed. Any plans that you're aware of to add a tower (or beef up the current one) near the airport?

I live in Murfreesboro (37130) and have been experiencing these exact problems at the exact same time as everyone reporting issues in Nashville. Today, the 4G service is so bad (even with 3-4 "bars") that I'm unable to send/receive email to my clients. This cripples my business. I hold 6 contracts with Verizon and after weeks (months?) of trying to troubleshoot this issue I'm finally assured I'm not the only person with problems. I've tried old phones, new phones, factory reset, tech support, hours and hours and hours wasted trying to figure out the answer. When trying to send business documents (not audio or video, just text) I'm uploading 0.2 kBps/s. That is, ZERO point TWO KILOBYTES per second to send a text document. This is slower than dial-up. What exactly am I paying for? If Verizon cannot acknowledge their network problems and either fix them or offer account credit to those affected I will be moving my services elsewhere, this network is not cheap!

Same problem here. Was working fantastic about 1 month ago and now SUCKS. Happens all day on iPhone 5 in Cool Springs and other areas (primary zip 37067). Phone was replaced in the mean time for a power button issue which means New SIM Card ... no change, still exceptionally slow. I can show History of speeds in 20's, 30's even 40's; today at 10:00 AM was 4.23 Download, 2.06 upload.

Another day, another dollar... and a useless cell network without any customer service.

I'm having this exact same issue on my Droid DNA, it always seems to be the worst right after lunch from around 12 to 3. This problem has persisted for several months where it gets down to 1.5 or less, but the last couple of days the internet on my phone has been completely unusable during the afternoon. I would run a speed test but it times out and web pages aren't loading at all. This goes beyond slow 4G to no service at all, despite having 3-4 bars of 4G displayed on the phone. This was the exact reason I switched to Verizon from Sprint but my girlfriend kept sprint and now they have LTE in Nashville and her speed is better than mine in the middle of the day! They doing maintenance or what?

I would like to chime in with everyone else on this thread. 4G took a nosedive in downtown nashville around 2 months ago and has been terrible ever since, the Midtown area specifically.

Yes, it has gotten worse lately. I'm not even able to pull 0.30mbs today....it keeps stalling at around 0.12 and then times out.

I hear your need for speed! Let's get this mystery resolved. The time between 12 to 3 could be peak traffic times on the local tower. This could cause tower congestion during this time. Do you leave this area? If so, do you experience this slowness durning this same time? Keep me posted.

I had a Samsung S4 that I broke the screen on and it was really slow. I then activated my old thunderbolt and the results were the same. The new S4 (insurance replacement) is now having the same issues. I am getting .01 download until about 6PM on a weekday then getting 2 to 3 down. Every where else I am getting 25-35 down. A number of friends with all kinds of phones and operating systems are having same results.

I did find an app called "4g switch" which allows to change to 3g, because 3g seems to be working as advertised.

This is obliviously not our phones so the only thing remaining is it is the network.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and the data-down started slowing within the first month or so, and has become useless as 4G has become the norm in the last several months. And no, this is not the first time I've been in contact with Verizon support.

Paulinbna, I'm right off Royal Parkway myself, and am experiencing the exact same results during the same timeframes. Unfortunately for me, I have the Galaxy Note 2, and cannot manually switch to 3G, leaving me with a non-working data plan that I still must pay for....unbelievable!!

Not sure why, but today I'm getting 7 down and 5 up.....first time in 6-7 months that I've seen those speeds during the week. Don't know if I was being throttled or what, but this is definitely an uptick....here's hoping it lasts. And if someone at Verizon did remove a throttle, many thanks!!

Nevermind....user error. Turned off wifi, but it came back on, for some reason.

Still have crappy data.....can't even ping. - Talk about a buzz-kill!!!!!!!!

I'm glad others have reported this. I switched from ATT to Verizon just now and the service is horrible. The AT&T 3G speeds on my iphone was faster than Verizon. The only thing that has helped is to just turn off LTE on my iphone 5s. Very dissapointing as I set up a plan with plenty of data to take advantage of my first LTE phone and it's completely useless.

Two weeks later and still having problems... Number of people at work are

By downloading "4G LTE Switch" by BASEMOBI in the Play Store I was able to set my Motorola Droid 4 to 3g only (CDMA Auto) and can actually use the internet again.

It's a shame Verizon has nothing but automated computer robot spam posting on this board. Seriously, how many times are you going to ask us if this is an indoor or outdoor issue? It doesn't matter! I have experienced very slow LTE data download speeds since the end of June in Nashville, TN 37203. I have also used 4G Switcher from the Play store to switch back to 3G speeds so my Samsung Galaxy S4 would be usable at work. I have run a lot of speed tests and the download speed is consistently very slow in the daytime in side or outside in 37203. I am near the Midtown (formerly Baptist) hospital and it is very slow on LTE all day long on week days. I was over here on a Saturday and clocked the speed at over 9 Meg download which causes me to believe that the data connection for the 4G LTE is severely congested, possibly from a backhaul that is sized too small for the traffic.

It seems apparent that the congestion is greatest on the weekdays. This should be something that Verizon could fix if they were interested. Since this has been going on since late June, I wonder if the Verizon monitoring equipment is alerting them and they are ignoring it or if they really don't know that there is a problem.

so wow, 10 pages over 5 months of time. seems pretty consistent to me. fyi for anyone experiencing the problem, I already went through a run-around with my galaxy S3, factory reset, new sim card, and finally replacement phone. absolutely no effect. inevitably once during the day (typically around midday to afternoon), my speed drops to under 1 megabit, and very often under 100k (!!). Even more amusing, the upload will often be tens of times higher than the download. Reception won't matter; 1 bar, 5 bars.

For [Verizon] consumers, there's other good news on the horizon. A re-awakened T-Mobile and better-financed Sprint are bringing more competition to the wireless marketplace. Both carriers are racing to catch up in the 4G market.

This report from April 2013 occurred just before things really started to suck here in town. I'll be curious to see when there's an updated test:

I'm getting practically useless LTE speeds in Cool Springs throughout the day, along Cool Springs Blvd and at the end of CSB near Mack Hatcher Pkwy. I could not use data when I left work yesterday at all. I tried to do a Speedtest, but it just failed. I have friends with AT&T that do not experience this. Have any of you guys had AT&T 4G LTE before, and can you comment on the service/coverage? I'm thinking about making the switch.

I am in Hendersonville, and am experiencing the same issues. When I bought the phone in June, things were fine. Over the last few weeks I have noticed it getting worse and worse. I work on Cool Springs 3 days a week, West End area one day and home one day. Same issues in those places as the other posters. Phone is an iPhone 5, most current iOS release.

Your service in Nashville, TN (Belleview) 37221 area has recently gotten worse than it already was. I am extremely dissatisfied with your service as of right now. I am a third party retailer and sell Verizon services, I always highly recommend Verizon over the other carriers when it comes to your network and coverage.

In the Belleview area, I have never had great or even good data coverage. I typically have 3-4 bars in doors, I normally experience anywhere from 2-5 Mbps down stream, and 1-3 mbps up. However, In the last couple of months, I have noticed that there have been times where my service has gone from 4g to roaming, dropped signals, and data disconnections. My data speeds have been significantly lowered at times, I often don't get more than 1-2 mbps down and 1.5 mbps up and that's if I'm lucky. As of late, I seem to be getting everything under 1 Mbps. From 0.45- 0.75 download The ping is a lot higher as well, it's always in the 100s, sometimes it's so high that the speed test can't even run or finish, then when I check back several minutes later it shows that it finished with 2g speeds and a ping in the hundreds if not over 1000 when normally in other areas it varies (40-80).

Also as a business student at(Tennessee State University Downtown Campus) Verizon doesn't have ANY service what so ever in that area. A campus with 2000+ plus students/faculty/ and staff and we're always roaming. Outside of the building I'm lucky if I can even check email due to the ridiculous slow data speeds. Both locations 10th ave North (37203) and Belleview (37221) are highly populated areas, I would assume you guys would have great service. If this does not improve soon, I am going to leave my Verizon employee concession line with my unlimited data and go to AT&T who has great service in both locations.

I will start recommending other carriers to my customers who are looking to get new phones. I typically activate(upgrade/new accounts) around 10 Verizon smartphones/Jetpacks per week, on avg. that's about $7200 worth of monthly service or over $86,000 in annual revenue that I help Verizon attain by brining more customers. I will gladly start pushing and insisting that these customers go with AT&T or Sprint now that they've deployed their 4G LTE network If I do not receive a proper response with some kind of action plan letting me know how you will address these issues.

I have had four (4) different phones in the past 2 months, including a Galaxy S4, LG G2, and two Galaxy Note 3's as well as different sim cards, they have all produced the same exact results. I have already filed a ticket and have received this response.

"We have received a response to the trouble ticket that was submitted upon your behalf. The resolution is as follows:

"Resolution Type : COVERAGE AREA-MARGINAL COVERAGE AREA-4G/LTE

Resolution : 4g coverage in this area fluctuates. Indoor signal will be weak."

This is ridiculous, just look at these speeds I am getting, How on earth do you expect me to sell this kind of service to my customers? I honestly even feel ashamed and embarrassed to recommend Verizon anymore. Verizon was once great, untouchable, but as of late, it seems that you guys have stopped working on your network and no longer update towers. This network congestion is just awful!! It's worse than Sprints 3g, I can't even use my phone to update a simple app during the hours of 4pm and 9 pm.

The answer that I received from my ticket is not acceptable that it fluctuates. I would accept that answer to a certain degree, I would understand if it were between 1 Mbps to 3 Mbps, but this is extreme, this is going from EDGE dial up speeds to 3-4 Mbps off peak hours (after 9 pm) it's fine, as many people on here have stated, you guys have a very major problem with the network being digested and need to prioritize some of those billions of dollars of profits and get to work on optimizing the infrastructure.

I expect something concrete, perhaps even a written letter from corporate telling me what steps they are planning on taking to fix these issues here in Nashville, Tn. Otherwise, I will be doing everything in my power to turn every customer I get away from Verizon, and take away hundreds of thousands of dollars away from revenue/profits from Verizon just myself, count in my team of 10 others at my job, and that's closing in on a million dollars of revenue we bring to Verizon.

I am just south of Nashville in Franklin. I work a few hundred yards from i65 and I think we actually have a verizon tower in my building. I get 2 bars most all day and data performance truly stinks. email takes for ever to download. is it an issue that we have a high density of verizon users in my building? even at 2-3 bars I should not have to refresh my email for 20-30 seconds to verify I don't have any new mail or pages not loading at all.

I would recommend ATT for sure. I had an iPhone 4S, which didn't have LTE. However, their 3G speeds (with the iphone which enhances 3G on the type of network AT&T is on), was better than this miserable service with Verozon. If I hadn't slowly switched my family over last month (in ATL and I'm in Nashville) I would've definitely turned my phone back in. I should've asked around before switching, but that's what I get for assuming.

The trouble is that a lot of people in your area are using Verizon 4G service. It's that simple. And those people that switch well, they will encounter that as At&t or whoever gains customers. It's simple math. A tower can handle or so much data being used and so many connections. The more connections and data being going over it the slower the connection. When Verizon upgrades Nashville with AWS spectrum those with AWS capable phones will see better performance. At&t or whoever may not have issues now but if they keep gaining 4G customers they will.

Agreed. Data is virtually non-existent during the time I need it the most. Peak hours. Congestion? Sure I can deal with that. Slower than average data speeds? Sure, I can deal with that too. But completely unusable data service that simply doesn't connect is unacceptable for the premium I pay for the "Most Reliable 4G LTE Network".

I have AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. I noticed in Nashville this morning, that AT&T lost their data service. For months, the best data connection I could get in downtown Nashville with Verizon has been no more than .50M down and even less up. While AT&T was out, I was able to get 5+ megs down. When AT&T's data came back, the Verizon LTE connection was horrible again. What are the chances that Verizon is using AT&T wired data lines as their backhaul in Nashville? I'm starting to suspect that Verizon is getting AT&T leftover bandwidth on the backhaul. For what it's worth, AT&T LTE is pretty good in downtown Nashville, except for this morning.

Yeah awful speeds here in ND as well. This seems to be a nationwide issue. I'll be switching to AT&T as soon as our contract is up.

I'm in Oakland, TN right outside of Memphis. I keep receiving voice mail instead of the original call and failed text messages. I am within my 14 day period. When I call out I get a busy signal. I am on a S4 at 38060. I absolutely would rather return the phone and go with AT&T than buy a $250 gadget to get the speed and reliability that I already pay for, so please do not suggest that. Ive reset the phone umpteen million times, pulled the sim, put it in and out of airplane mode, please fix before I bail.

That's a download speed of 60 KILOBITS per second! As you can see I had 5 bars on that second one, and the speedtest couldn't even finish. It literally took 15 minutes to send 1 email. And forget about any kind of streaming, tried to listen to spotify tonight during my workout & it couldn't even manage that - the audio would play for 10 seconds and then stop for 30. And I got a new Lumia 2520 tablet recently and it's got the identitical problem. Verizon, you need to fix your horrendously bad data network around Nashville!

This is unacceptable. I'm in zipcode 37203 and 4G has been UNUSABLE weekdays during business hours since at least August. What is worse, even the 3G has come to a crawl which means I AM NOT RECEIVING THE SERVICE FOR WHICH I HAVE CONTRACTED. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED; IT HAS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH. Verizon Wireless has had actual notice of this issue for more than 6 months; not only has there been no improvement, but matters have gotten worse. This is unacceptable. The effective outage of mobile internet service during weekdays in the Midtown Nashville area for the previous 6+ months, coupled with a lack of communication and effort by Verizon to resolve or remedy the issue, despite repeated and persistent complaints on this message board alone, constitutes a breach of contract, warranty, good faith and fair dealing, and renders their entire national advertising campaign a fraudulent and deceptive business practice in the Nashville area and a fraud on the public more generally.

Verizon has had repeated notice of and ample opportunity to address this issue; they have responded with inexorable indifference. In light of the forgoing, T-Mobile's offer to pay early termination fees seems like the only viable option at this point.

Reading through this thread it appears that the Verizon Wireless responses are computer generated.... I may be wrong but when you look at the level of detail provided by us, the customers, and then how the Verizon Support responds, its obvious.

Peak hours in larger cities like Nashville can cause slower data speeds depending on what tower your phone connects to, and how much work the tower is doing at that time. We are always evaluating and improving our network, so I'm sure this is already being looked into. Have you had a Trouble Ticket filed for this?

I'm downtown Nashville.. 37203 and can't use 4G at all... for at least a few months. sometimes my phone switches to 3G and works (Galaxy S3) but there is no way to force that and most of the time I'm stuck on 4G with a few bars and zero service. Things just time out... I can't even run a speedtest at all most of the time.

This has been going on at least since October. When I first switched to Verizon in March 2013 it ran circles around Sprint's network in 4G, would get 7 or 8 download in the afternoon. Worked on the road too. Now my phone becomes useless for anything but calls and texts during business hours, especially between 12 and 5. This is not the service I'm paying for.

I have a Droid DNA and work in zip code 37027. During business hours I average around .6 down and .07 up and 200+ ping. I'd upload a picture but it times out before I can send it. I've been holding out because Nashville's network is obviously supremely overtaxed and was hoping they'd add more capability, and took heart when "AWS enhanced" was announced for this week, even though my phone doesn't pick it up. With that knowledge we tentatively moved my girlfriend's line to our family account (the rest of whom live in Knoxville, with no speed issues whatsoever) and with a brand new Galaxy S5 she exactly duplicated the super slow speeds in a side by side speed test outside under the open sky with full 4g reception. One hour later 15 miles west she got 17 down and 7 up while I'm stuck at the same unusable speeds. It's not the phone, she's owned it 2 hours and downloaded no apps, and there are no problems with the sim card. It's the network. I also had the sim card replaced on my phone today and no improvement.

To say this is inexcusable is an understatement. I've been following this thread for months and while I'm sure the verizon responders are real people, it's obvious they have a large supply of canned responses that don't really solve anything asking people to do the same things over and over. I want some sort of acknowledgement that the network is overwhelmed during the day and that verizon engineers are working to fix it, not "I'm sure this is already being looked into" There are way too many alternatives out there that are actively seeking our business and now offering to pay our ETFs for verizon not to at least acknowledge the problem.

What type of location is this? Inside your home workplace or school? Do things improve when you try to soft reset the device by pulling the battery and SIM card?

This happens anywhere downtown... even if I leave my office building, I don't get 4G working until I get near Centennial Park. I have reset my phone multiple times per support and this is the same on both my personal and work Verizon phones. Support told me I'm in an area of inadequate coverage and there is little I can do. If Verizon would let me force 3g I could at least get some throughput, but nope... I'm stuck with nothing!

I agree that in Hendersonville 4G LTE speeds are worse than dial-up.

At work in Brentwood I can get 46MB Down 18 Up - Truly Amazing

In Hendersonville I get 0.15mb down and 0.17mb up. (Yes those are .15 not 1.5 or 15, less than 1mb).

Phone is MotoX, Brand new just activated.

I wondered why the lady who activated my phone advised me to login for the first time at home on WiFi. I thought no it'll be faster on 4G - WRONG! She knew what would happen.

On a positive note I will give Verizon props for giving me good advice. When I went to buy the phone the manager said sure I'll sell it to you off contract for $399, but you can get it on eBay or Craigslist much cheaper. I got it on eBay and saved $200! An honest salesman. Whatever next?

I'm glad other people are having issues with the 4g lte speeds here in downtown Nashville and it's not just me. I'm at Vanderbilt and can only get ~0.05 download speeds (area code 37232). I am pretty confident it's network congestion, I downloaded an app that lets me switch 4g off and go to 3g and low and behold I'm up to ~2-3Mbps. It's amazing but the 3g here in downtown Nashville area is faster then the 4g during business hours. I recommend anyone having issues to do what I did and not expect verizon support here on these forums to do anything at all.

Just a reminder you can possibly remove the adds from speedtest.com in the settings check to see as you could some months ago..

As of today, June 19th, the LTE speeds in Hendersonville are still bad. Multiple tests were run with both an iPhone 5S and a Nokia Icon. The top speeds that were observed were approximately .59 Mbps down and .15 Mbps up.

Switch over to 3G on the iPhone 5S and speeds were much better at 2.52 Mbps down and .99 Mbps up.

In a test run a few weeks ago, traveling down I-65 south in the Madison area, I was able to get 48 Mbps down and 16Mbps up on the Nokia Icon. Keep in mind this was traveling at 80 mph as well (I was not driving).

Can we please get someone from Verizon to look into the poor LTE speeds here in Hendersonville? This has been ongoing for far too long and we (the customers) need a resolution.

I haven't lately, no. I have been running some tests throughout the evening. I still had slow speeds at 7:02pm. Magically, at 7:16, I started getting full rate LTE type speeds. Tested again at 7:18pm and 7:21pm and am still getting fast LTE speeds at this time. So there is some major bottleneck that occurs during the typical working hours in this area. Seems like between 8am and 7pm, the network is having some major issues.

And now at 7:29pm, back to slow speeds again.

Test this morning at 4:54am. This is with -114dB signal strength on iPhone 5S. 33.75 Mbps down, 5.49 Mbps up.

I can hardly believe it's been almost a year later and this problem is still just as bad as it was when this thread was begun. LTE in downtown Nashville is still basically unusable. I still have to switch down to 3G every day just to get reliable data. Here's a twitter conversation I had with support last year: Twitter / brbeaird: @VZWSupport

To quote what I received back from 'engineers': "They have advised us this area is a marginal coverage area. This is what's causing the experience you and others are having. They were able to test all cell sites in the area and everything is functioning as expected. They also found that as traffic in the area increases on the sites, the coverage area of that site will decrease. This is what's causing the changing signal you were experiencing."

Keep in mind I'm in Hendersonville. There are very few cell towers here, even though the population is around 55,000 people.

I like how they stated I'm in a 'marginal coverage area'. Wonder if anyone with common sense would think to increase the coverage in the area, if it's already deemed marginal in an ever increasing population area.

Test I just ran on LTE: 3.03 Mbps down, .49 Mbps up

Now I know that speed tests don't mean everything, but can be an indicator of traffic issues on the network. Verizon voice still goes over the CDMA channels (1x) and is largely not affecting my ability to make calls. But the majority of my usage is over data, so not having it available (due to the marginal coverage, i.e., poor signal in many areas) is making me re-think my desire to stay with Verizon.

And no matter how much BS gets slung my way, it is not my phone. I have been testing this area (since I live here) for quite some time with iPhone 5S, Motorola Droid Ultra, Nokia Icon and LG G2.

bbeaird, I am also at a loss for what could be taking so long to take care of this issue. Back around February/March, I noticed a bit of improvement (to maybe 2.5 down....never thought I would be happy for such a slow speed, but I was), but the last 3-4 weeks have taken a nosedive again. My latest reading (this morning at 11:00am) was .23 on the down, and then timed out during the up. I had a conversation with a Verizon rep late last year (I should have posted) in which he told me they were aware of the congestion and that some sort of remedy was in the works, so when I saw the slight uptick in speed, I thought that the issue was solved.

And you are absolutely correct in that these results are reproducible with any phone model/sim card.

I would much rather be told, "Sorry, but we aren't aware of any plans to improve our network" than this daft script that these poor C/S reps have to follow. I am beyond disappointed with the big red.

And still horrible speed in hendersonville tn as of September 27, 2014.. only 0.51 Mbps!! We went with our concern to the Indian lake store twice before and they told us "they were working on the tower"?? And we went again today and a lady there said she doesn't know anything about them working on it?!!! So someone is lying! When will they do something about it? It's awful!! Can't open pages.. it's frustrating!! And we went down the road to AT&T to look at what they had and their speed was 40 Mbps..

We actually went to the Verizon store yesterday and put in a trouble ticket. The # is (removed). It's just Hendersonville area as far as we have noticed. My husband works all over the place and the speed is fine everywhere else. Thanks for responding though. Hopefully they will be able to resolve this soon.

Well Verizon, it's Dec 17, 2014... 4glte still sucks and the 200+ dollars a month, to just barely grasp the minimal 3g signal we get, is a bit too much!
