Switched to Sprint and hate it.

So, I switched from Verizon to Sprint about two months ago, and the coverage is terrible, I am getting unsolicited calls from numbers I don't recognize, and I pretty much hate it. I left one number (my daughter's that we don't really use) with Verizon, but I want to port my other numbers back. I don't know if I qualify for any of the switch to Verizon incentives, though, and that would really be the only way I could come back. If I don't I guess I will have to tough it out with Sprint until I can switch back, or try to switch to ATT. Anyone out there know if it's possible for me to qualify?

Verizon has a special department to "Win Back" customers who have left. They may be able to offer a good incentive.

I'm the opposite. I was with Sprint for over 14 years, then switched to Verizon in 2013. I pay a bit more, but I don't have to worry about no service or dropped calls. Since this is a peer to peer forum, Verizon doesn't allows monitor it.The best option to see if you qualify for any special offers, would be to call CS at 800-922-0204.

But the Sprint add says they are within 1% of Verizon in reliability?? Could that just be advertising spin?

They neat mean their network in Overland Park, Kansas. They have to have good service at their headquarters there. I wonder how many Sprint employees actually have Verizon service. Lol

They are within 1% of Verizon's reliability. It's true and clever marketing because they know most people think 'reliability' has something to do with coverage when it does not. Reliability is measured by dropped calls, connection times, and clarity where the network is operational. It had nothing to do with coverage area/size. They are way worse than 1% on that.

So true. I mean if you're going to use a carrier who has coverage that is so sparse, and they have to roam on Verizon's network, why not just use Verizon in the first place and not have the headaches. and for those who not Verizon because their prices are a little higher, you pay for what you get. And I would rather have a service that I can use wherever I am at.

LOL... Yeah, they were nice enough when I asked about switching back. If they had been so nice when I called retention 2 1/2 years ago, I never would have left.

ATT was just as willing to get me back.
