No, he's right. In order to be considered 4G, the network has to be capable of 100 Mbps (mobile) and 1 Gbps (fixed) speeds. That is the standard any network needs to be considered 4G. WIMAX, LTE and HSPA+ do not meet that standard.
No US carrier has 4G, or will have it within the next several years.
Actually thats all incorrect. 4G stands for fourth generation in the cell phone industry. its each companies fourth geration of there branded network. Yes 4G is suppose to be however fast, but If you want to get technical it really stands for fourth generation of each carriers network. Read the fine print its all explained.
