Unified Messaging

Hi. about 6 months ago i was able to see all my recent texts after my phone broke and I appreciated the ability to still read and send texts through the interruption using the UI Tool at Verizonwireless.com. that was cool - that was then..

Now - it seems the only way to do this is to sign-up for a not needed new service called unified messaging. why do i need to accept the terms for a service i already had and enjoyed?. There is no way around this the chat Representative told me. I must accept the terms in order to see and create texts messages via my web browser..

So now I have to use the verizon text app on my phone? Woa - what?

Also i can only see past conversations since i joined the service - But my phone broke yesterday and i missed all the texts since then and now?

The chat rep could not help me nor could the Phone rep. I wasted a lot of time just trying to explain that you even had this feature. all they wanted to know was what was the specific error i was seeing...

Did I lose the texts while my phone has been broken or not? How do I get them and others from before my phone was broke? (Like I used to be able to do)

We're sorry to learn that your phone is broken, but we do understand the need to be able to have access to your messages. Integrated Messaging is what allows you to access and send/receive messages online. There is no requirement for you to use the Verizon Messages app to use the site for messaging. It's very important to know that some messages may not show up in Verizon Messages or online. What model phone do you have? Have you accepted the terms and conditions to use Integrated Messaging online?

So you didn’t understand anything I said. I did end up agreeing to the terms of service and I do not see my old messages. I want you to understand that I have enjoyed and used the ability to see past messages on line without having to agree to the new terms of service for “Integrated Messaging”

I do not see past old messages anymore only those since I agreed to the terms of services.

That sucks.

There have been different enhancements to the Integrated Messaging applications. When there are enhancements, there are some terms and conditions that may need to be accepted again as things may have changed. One feature of the application is seeing messages online. However, you do need to text through this application. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
