Very poor reception in zip code 80020

My entire area has extremely poor cell reception and has become noticeably worse in the past few months. Everyone in the area is complaining about it verbally. A neighbor suggested we all talk to Verizon about this to get it fixed. Heavily populated area that needs more cell towers -zip code 80020, but not sure if it’s the entire zip code.

Yes the service is terrible. I had a friend coming over and he couldn't find my house as the service gave out on him. I work from home and frequently receive feedback about the muffled sound and the in and of my voice. I have had calls dropped on several occasions and not just with customers of mine, also with high level executives in conference calls. This is not good for job security. My contract is up very soon and if this doesn't change, I will. Let's take some action Verizon and stand up to the claims of the most coverage in wireless. I mean c'mon, we can communicate with Mars but we can't get consistent coverage in a major metropolitan area. Fix this!

80234 is also terrible. This is a problem for work. My husband owns a business and it is a huge problem when he can't use his cell phone in the house...

In this area – 80234 which is adjacent to the neighborhood with the zip code 80020, we also have poor reception. I often have to move around my house or find the one spot and not move from it to have a conversation. My husband uses his cell phone for business and sometimes has to go outside.

We never have full bars within a wide area around our house, which is close to 136th and Zuni St in Broomfiel, CO. This is a reception issue that is really only relevant when we leave our house since we can use our home network when at home. I am unable contact my daughter when she is running around our neighborhood because the service is so poor. We have to wait to get out of our neighborhood in order to access Google maps because the service is so poor. All neighbors with Verizon have this issue. No one with T mobile has this issue. If it does not improve within the next few monthe, we will be switching. I understand there Is plans to upgrade the infrastructure in 1-2 years. This is an unacceptable timeframe.

It happens in certain locations in the house, so it makes walking around and sometimes moving a few inches risky. The only advice we’d been given was to periodically turn off and then back on the phone and to be on wifi connection, which has made it a little better…

We want nothing more than for you to have the best experience on our network and we understand the need to have reliable service, especially when working from home. Cellular service varies and can be impacted by a number of things beyond our control(i.e. network traffic, your distance from cell towers, line of sight to towers, buildings and other environmental interference). It's for that reason that we are unable to guarantee how well service will work while indoors, but keep in mind that outdoor service can be impacted by interference as well. What zip code are you in? When did you begin having trouble? Have you tried using WiFi Calling to improve your experience while in your home?

I am in area code 80234 and yes, I use wifi calling which helps a little but not much. It's been happening for a long while now. In fact I was issued a refund at one point for dropped calls. It's frustrating when talking to a potential $2M client and they can't hear me or the call drops. Sure makes doing business and making enough money to justify $200/mo for a cell service that is spotty. I never had this problem with T-Mobile. Why do you think that is?

80234 and yes the wifi calling is better, especially since our internet service has been upgraded. This is something many people in this area experience, so it would be great if Verizon could look into the larger issue people in mine and adjacent neighborhoods are having…

Having service where you need it most is everything, so we understand that it's an inconvenience to have service issues at your home. While our network team is always looking for opportunities and ways to improve the coverage on our network, those changes can take some time. It's good to learn that WiFi Calling has provided a better experience for you indoors as we're unable to guarantee how well cellular service will work when within a structure. Are you also having trouble outside of your home in the area?

I live near the intersection of 144th and Sheridan in Broomfield, CO near my neighbors reporting here and over the last 6-8 months, have experienced a significant degradation in performance inside and around my house among major thoroughfares. I use my mobile phone for work and drop calls many times and consistently throughout the day or the signal goes "dark". I thought it might just be a new signal problem inside my house and when I try to work outside because my network isn't serving me inside, I experience the same thing there too.

I am told by my neighbors that based on their conversations with various Verizon people, Verizon is aware of the situation and neglecting to remedy it.

I have been a Verizon customer for 21 years and do not want to leave, however, if something isn't done soon, I will be left with no other choice.

For Verizon Customer Support, just try driving through McKay Landing neighborhood while on the phone and tell me you don't get broken up or dropped calls. Your system is lying to you if it says you have good service here.

This has been ongoing for over a year and Verizon continues to side step trying to solve the problem by asking redundant questions. I too have been a long time time customer and will take ALL of our devices and find another provider that will respond appropriately to customer issues. For the amount of money I spend every month, I should be able to rely on service significantly better than what we have here.

My ZIP Code is 80023..... In the McKay Landing neighborhood. Calls can break up and drop all together. I assume data is also a problem since streaming music gets interrupted too. It has been getting worse over the past couple of years. Many neighbors complain about it on the Nextdoor app asking if anyone with other carriers are experiencing the same thing.... they are all Verizon customers asking about this problem. I never see AT&T or T-mobile customers starting that conversation.

This began about a year ago. I live in 80020, and have extremely poor phone service in my home, add well as driving through the McKay neighborhood as another previously mentioned and driving home from work in 80026 on hwy 287.

We have the same issue in 80023, 136th and Huron (wide radius). I'm sitting in my house, 2 feet from an open window, and only have CDMA 1xRTT service, between -90 and -95dBm. Can Verizon provide a femtocell to me for a temporary solution?

I've lived in 80023 - 144th and Huron since 2008 and had Verizon the entire time. The cellular service around the neighborhood was great until this past year. No issues for years! Now it's so bad that I am seriously considering switching to another provider. I've called Verizon and they won't acknowledge the issue. They sent a crew out (supposedly - they never followed up, I had to inquire) who said the cell coverage was poor but acceptable. They've given me a range extender (free if you complain! $200+ if you don't) and set up wifi calling on my phone, but all that is useless as soon as I pull out of my driveway. From the Orchard Town Center to Lowes at 136th and west to Zuni, I get 1 bar, no texting, and loads of frustration. Same with my neighbors. Gee....within a mile we've gotten the new hospital, Amazon's center, loads of new retail on either side of I-25, multiple new hotels, etc. We need more cell coverage. Something definitely zapped it! PLEASE LISTEN VERIZON!
