The Verizon "ready for pickup" email said I only needed to bring a photo id and the credit card used to pay for the new phone. Verizon In-Store Pickups FAQs said the same thing. However, when I went to pickup the phone, they absolutely refused to give me the phone until I provided the Account PIN.
I was so angry. The phone was bought on my wife's verizon account. She is a night nurse and sleeps during the day and blocks incoming calls. I had to go home to get the Account PIN from her. The Verizon store near me was closed, so I was at a store 15 minutes away from my home. It was a complete waste of time.
Now, I'm wondering - who was right? Are the "ready for pickup" email and FAQs correct and I did not need to provide the PIN? ... or was the store right and I needed to give them the Account PIN?
