Wondering why none of the carriers offer rural customers a plan for residential internet. My idea would be for a "single" line within their package of unlimited data. As an example within the next year I'll be building my home out in the country. The only practical internet is using Verizon or if another carrier beats them to the punch a plan where I can get a decent amount of data per month. For myself I use a lot more data than what I have on my current plan as I am required to work out of my home from time to time which is more than checking email. I need to log into my network at work and I can be on the system for hours at a time. I also know that there are major government incentives for companies to accommodate rural customers. As far as network capacity I would believe the carriers years ago but with newer technology I don't buy into that they would run out of capacity. And they would gain many more accounts. Currently there isn't anybody else except satellite providers out there who do support rural customers. I'm to far away for DSL plus DSL is to slow for my needs. Not enough customers to convince cable to come out there. Fiber..... yeah right. Satellite to much latency and too expensive.
Thanks.
