Why can I purchase a auto faster than purchasing a phone? Yesterday at Pooler store after typing my info into their system. I waited over 20 mintutes with no assistance. All I wanted was to purchase a phone. Store had about four customers, and the one before me still hadn't been assisted.I figured if it takes 20 mintutes to received assistance how long does it take to buy what you have picked out.I have been a good customer ever since they purchase Alltell. I will have to find a phone somewhere else.

Corporate locations have always worked like this. What I suggest you to do is check out the phones and play around with them at the store and order it online instead because you don't have to wait for mail in rebates and shipping is free.

Unfortunately, this can be the case with retail locations. Setting up wireless accounts PROPERLY can take some time, especially with all the extra things Verizon makes the reps do, like offering data features, offering accessories, setting up email, etc. I'd say about 45 minutes is average for those types of transactions.

Take in to account the fact that half the staff is only there for customer service/tech issues, and that there might only be two sales reps available at the time, and you'll begin to see where the wait can come from. A smart store will have all associates handling all issues, but I can tell you not all managers run their store that way. You might just try a different location; it could make all the difference.
