question about Mobile Email and Aim

I just got the Samsung Reality and thus had to get the $9.99 data plan. It says 'mobile email included' but i'm not entirely sure what that really means.....

i know my phone is set up for the email but when i check it does it use megabytes or is that included? also, when i get alerts that i have a new message, does that use mbs?

as for aim....i want to make sure that it doesn't use mbs. i know messages sent or received are considered text messages, but have it connected all the time, will that cause it to use mbs?

oh , is there anything else i can utilize for free? ... or free after initial download?

When you check your email , it does use MB's, and up to 25 MB are included in the $9.99 data plan. "Mobile Email included" means you don't pay the $4.99 a month subscription fee for it, but the data is counted against your 25 MB allowance. I'm not sure about the alerts - I don't use Mobile email.

No, Mobile IM is ALL texting. The initial download uses MB, but usage does NOT. We do not have a data plan, I use Mobile IM, and so does my daughter (she's using it to text folks in Canada and the UK, and it's always connected and beeping at her....!) And we have no data charges....so I can confidently say that Mobile IM does NOT use data!
