weak signal strength and still no answers

I've been with Verizon for a long time and have always had good service/signal strength. For the past 6 to 7 months, I can only seem to get 2 bars...3 if I'm really lucky. I have the new Samsung S205G and still cruddy signal strength. When is this going to get resolved? I've tried talking to the support staff, but as others have said, they just beat around the bush. Have yet to get a solid answer. Might take our new phones back (still under the return timeframe) and switch to a more reliable service provider. I live in the Oklahoma City Metro area and no matter where I go, it's the same 1 or 2 bars. Calls drop, text won't go through, just cruddy service.

We would want to know as soon as possible if you were having some sort of service issue, so it's great to know that you had already contacted other support channels for assistance. What exactly where you provided with that has you unclear? If you have the same issue in all areas, that would not indicate the network is the issue, but there's a lot more that we'd need to know on this before that would be the conclusion.

I have been having this issue for months anywhere I go. I live in 34608. I chatted with Verizon for 2 hours the other day and all I got was there's a tower in Homosassa having issues that shouldn't affect you and give it a week to see if the next level support can find anything. I haven't heard from anyone yet.
Been with Verizon for years and this is the worst cell service I've ever had. It's always been top notch.
Iphone 10 XSMax fully updated.
I get dropped calls, fade in and out and told I sound like a robot or am breaking up on a daily basis. Makes me wonder what the heck I'm paying so much money for.
Please help.

JohnnyC1971,
We know your service is important to you. You need to depend on it. Let's get a few details. Are you the only one that is having issues? How big of an area are we talking about? Is this just around your home?

Earlier you mentioned that the problem was with calls dropping and audio fading and/or breaking up, are you only experiencing issues with calls? How's everything with texts and data? Do you recall if anything changed with your phone before the problem started months ago?

Texts are fine, data is also an issue. No changes to the phone aside from standard iOS updates.

Thank you, JohnnyC1971. How far do you normally have to travel for your signal to improve?

I don't travel a lot at this time for obvious reasons, but anywhere in Hernando County is horrible. Verified with other Verizon friends as well, all the same issue.

Still an on-going issue. Are there problems with towers in Hernando County?

I've provided numerous zip codes already (previous page if you look) and still haven't gotten a response as to why the service in the ENTIRE county has gone downhill.

JohnnyC1971, there are no open alerts for this area. However, I understand multiple VZW users are having the same issues. I've sent you a Private Note, and look forward to hearing from you.

JohnnyC1971, Since this has been happening, have you powered your device off for at least 2-3 minutes and then powered the device on again? Have there been any recent updates to your device (software related)? Have you downloaded any new applications to the device recently?

I remember when you could dial a number to get it updated. It's ridiculous, I have an app that shows what tower the phone hooks to and what the signal strength is. The tower that my phone seems to insist on connecting to is only pushing out -112 to -116. If I do a scan for towers there is one out my back door pushing -104.
I've restarted my phone 1000 times, it always grabs that same weak signal tower.
It does not seem to me the phone I have now, LGV50, has ever had the towers updated, so stop "Blowing Smoke" about this issue and just get it fixed.
AND don't reply back to this trying to sell me a Signal Booster for my home. I live in Harrisburg Pa. and there is no reason for me not to have 5 bars on my phone at ALL times.
Fix it or lose it.
Have a Great Day.

We work hard to provide the best service in as many areas as possible, cms8119. It is truly saddening to hear that your experience is not that way, and we are here to help out. All the signal strengths you shared are less than optimal for cellular service. What happens with your calls, texts, and data services? How large of an area does it happen in? You mentioned the device has not been able to “update the towers.” Was your prior device also experiencing these issues?

Same here. Verizon has obviously done something to the towers or satellites in my area. Not going to keep calling to troubleshoot my phone, when it’s obviously not an issue with my phone (every phone on my plan has the same problem). Also Not going to continue to pay over $300 a month for much longer for a phone service that is now practically useless in my home

Having same issue in 22301. Started happening a few weeks ago. We used to be able to be anywhere in out house and get good signal. Even the basement would carry a couple bars. Now we sit in the living room missing calls because they aren't coming through. This seems to be a problem across the board. It's a real problem as my husband relies on phone calls to be able to get work.
Also started having issues with the wifi going in and out with verizon. And with all the kids getting ready to be online all day for school, I am sure there is gonna be an overload

Yes, I also work in IT and have rebooted my phone numerous times often leaving it off for 30 minutes at a time.
So many people have the same issue in this town, even friends from out of town on Verizon say they have 1-2 bars as soon as they enter Hernando County.

We want you to have service you can depend upon, sbcole04. Are you having issues at any other locations aside from inside your residence? Are you noticing issues with texts or when you make calls? Can you further explain about the Wi-Fi issues? Looking forward to hearing back. -ChrisM_VZW
