Call Forwarding Issues

I have used call forwarding on my VZW prepaid service for years, with no issues.  Suddenly today, it doesn't work.  When I forward the calls using *72, I get the confirmation saying calls are forwarded to the number, but it doesn't work because the caller gets a fast busy signal.  Is this a network issue or has VZW changed something with call forwarding?

I just checked the features of my plan, and it still lists Call Forwarding as a feature.  So, how do I get Verizon to realize this is a network issue?

Does anyone from Verizon actually read these questions?

This is a peer to peer public community forum and a direct link to customer service. Not everyone who frequents the forum responds to the question or they don't have any suggestions. It can usually take a vzw rep to reply if the post is marked as an unanswered question.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Having call forwarding can be necessary, when dialing *72 are you also dialing the number that you want the call forwarded to. Please try doing this once more, if this issue is not corrected after attempting this please contact us through either Facebook or Twitter for further support.

I've continued to try since I posted the question.  It doesn't work!  I will send a message via Facebook but I'm always told I have to call the phone number.  We'll see what happens tonight.  I'm guessing I'll get the same response.

Good luck. I was going to write the steps to reach a person quickly when calling customer service, but those steps work for the postpaid number and not the prepaid number.

frustratedVcustomer,

We understand this has been difficult for you. Those are the correct instructions. We cannot access Prepaid account details through this forum or Facebook and Twitter. You will need to contact our Prepaid team directly using the number provided previously.

I've attempted to do that but can't get a live person to answer on that number.  Your customer service is terrible both online and via phone.

It's the worst customer service!!!!!. I'm 3 days talking, chatting with customer service, tech service. And waiting with an open ticket to make call forwarding work. Looks like they have no idea what they are doing.

They are good to repeat every time you call, "I'll do my best for you. I know how is frustrating, blah blah". Seems hard to find someone capable at Verizon.

Ensuring you get the help you need is our top priority, cia71. I know how fundamental a feature like call forwarding can be and I'm confident this will be sorted out. It's distressing to hear that you haven't received a resolution just yet, however, it sounds like you have an open ticket that you are awaiting results from. If you don't receive the results to the ticket within the promised time frame, please make sure to reach the Prepaid department at 888-294-6804 or through Facebook or Twitter @VZWSupport for further support. Does this clarify?

it's not even close to "you get the help you need is our top priority".

Today I"m 100% sure. Verizon Customer Service really doesn't care about their customers.

I have 2 open tickets, more than 5 days, never got a return. And worst, Instead fix my call forwarding, they blocked my fone to make and receive calls and no one knows whats happening.

Now, When I try to make or receive a call. I listen "Welcome to Verizon wireless this call cannot be completed because there is restrictions on this line, announcement 24."

So, I have the conclusion, if your line works, fine. If not, Verizon do not have qualified peoples to handle the issue. Sounds they have overseas customer care, Which doesn't really care.
