Can you please explain a bit more on WiFi calling?
I read the instructions but they are a bit unclear
- I set-up the phone for WiFi calling, while overseas do you still have to turn on Airplane Mode?
- There is an option for WiFi calling, either a WiFi and a cell network. It defaults to the cell network, shouldn't it be set to WiFi?

It is important that you are able to use Wi-Fi calling, capun1950. Are you trying to complete the initial activation of yor Wi-Fi calling while you are connected to the Verizon Wireless network, in the United States, or have you used Wi-Fi calling previously? What makes and models of devices are you using?

The family has several phones, a Samsung Galaxy S8+, LG V20 and a Pixel 2
Our son with the "problem" has the V20.
All the phones have HD Voice, International Service is enabled in the Pixel 2 and V20 ( I don't know why the S8+ cannot be turend on) and PayGo Data and Standard voice on the S8+ and V20 (again in this case the Pixel 2 cannot be turned on). We are in the The Verizon Plan X Large 12 GB
By initial activation, do you mean do the set-up as specified in the instructions? Is there another "activation" that needs to be done?
Once overseas do you turn on Airport Mode On once the "activation" in the US is done?
