Do Prepaid Plans Trigger Charges if phone is off?

I have the 3.99 daily plan for my spare phone.  It was fine until the robo calls and bill collectors for the former owner of the phone # started coming in.    Bill collector calls, I answer = $3.99.

So if I turn off the phone except when in use, if these calls come in and leave voice mail, do I get charged?  thx.

If you don't answer the call or you don't answer the message that was left you do not get charged.  Under Menu there is a section that says Recent Calls, you have a choice to delete them or save etc. If you click on the number that says missed calls  it will show you the time and date and the number of the call. Then write the numbers down and call them from a landline and tell them to remove your number and that they are calling a prepaid cell and to not call again.  Juist be sure to look at the number of who is calling before answering the phone.
