Loss of Balance and Expiration on Display

Up until today, the pre-paid balance and expiration would always be on my main display as part of the banner on my LG Accolade. But after I did a *228 update (because I had not done one in a while), that is now gone and I can't figure out how to get it back. I really liked always knowing where I stood and having it right there in front of me. Has this capability been taken away? Or is there some way to get it back?

By the way, my daughter's brand new Samsung Verizon Gusto II prepaid phone does not have the balance and expiration banner either. It would be nice to have it on both of our phones.

Never mind for my LG phone. All I had to do was to make a phone call for the balance and expiration banner to return. But my daughters new phone still does not show the balance or expiration even after making a call. Any clues as to how to get hers to display those items?

Did you try Menu,  Tools and Settings, Display Settings then the word Banner should show up and just type in ERI Banner. This is the same for the LG  phone. If  it not under the Tools and Settings it might be that brand does not have a banner on it.

I did try to turn that on in her Samsung Gusto II phone, but nothing appeared to happen at all, not even the Verizon Wireless banner that comes on my display when I turn it on in my phone.

I have the LG Accolade also.  If the phone's display just says "Updating...", I just take it outside momentarily, or try another area (like upstairs or near a window) with a strong signal. Close the flip for a few seconds, then reopen.  That might help.

Yes, I have often seen the Updating... on my phone also. But what had me initially concerned was that there was nothing there at all until I made a call. And then it showed up on mine again. But still looking for solutions for my daughter's Samsung Gusto II phone which does not seem to display anything at all even after making a call.
