Unlimited data has no Mobile Hotspot!

So a Verizon representative that hotspot was disabled on a Unlimited plan. Because customers shared the data between all their family devices. Fair enough!

So I live where there is no ISP that provides 4G except Satellite. So data has a latency but it does work.

Wait a minute "data"? What is data. It is a connection to the Internet.

I do not watch TV or browse the Internet on a five inch by three inch screen. Those who do, good for you. What is the sense of having a 52 inch smart TV. Ever tried to share a smart phone screen resolution with a 52 inch smart TV screen resolution.

Netflix original

Lost in Space episode: 700 MB

One Movie: 1007 MB

Verizon comes the closes to providing the most reliable network in the states. So think about this Verizon! Watch one Netflix original movie a weekend is about 4 gig a month. The smart phone and Chromebook updates and one Linux OS.

Please provide a reasonable price plan for a reliable customer willing to register their 5 devices too an unlimited plan.

Oh yea still can not access My Verizon website for one smart phone account!! Been three months+

It does not sound like you understand, No plan has unlimited data for mobile hot spot. post or prepay. I would have to buy a hot spot device. I did not look into that.

Your reply is a canned reply. It is not the best answer. Don't worry you still should get a pay check. The only answer to this is a plan that would allow unlimited data (Internet) to the mobile hot spot, connecting only one device at a time, and out of a possible 3-5 devices registered to an account.

I know the world wants to use there smart phone to watch TV and browse the internet, and facebook. I do not believe in leaving class and work to run down the street with a kazoo. Is that what Bernie Sanders wants to pay for.

I use the hot spot on our smart tv and a chromebook. Network performance is just fine. If I sign up for unlimited then I should get unlimited even for the hot spot.

Which unlimited plan do you have? The prepaid unlimited plan and the Start Unlimited Plan doesn't include the mobile hotspot feature. If you need the mobile hotspot feature, you need to switch to a compatible plan.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

There is no plan with unlimited data for Mobile hotspot. They all limit the mobile hotspot.
Why tell someone the wrong answer. Then ask to be marked as answered. Unlimited is

 no limits on
all devices.

We would never want anyone to feel this way about us. In the same way that some Customers may want the feature, others will appreciate an option that does not include paying for hotspot access. This is why there are more Unlimited Packages to choose from. If you have any questions on our plans and services before making a purchase, we are always here to answer any questions you may have.

There is zero reason to charge for the "feature" that is hardware embedded in the phone period. You are plain and simply charging extra for the same data. It should not matter what method was used to transmit the data that was already paid or charged for.

I'm not so sure what is so difficult to grasp about this other than being in denial about the shady company you chose to work for.

The other poster summed it up accurately calling you crooks. All telecoms, especially Verizon in my experience.

I honestly don't get how you have been legally getting away with double dipping for so long. I suspect the people that really care just bypass it and use it anyway so no one has really raised enough stink about it.

Verizon are thieves plain and simple. So eager to take your money and act like gangsters if your a day late, yet when it actually comes to providing what people pay for you seemingly can't care less other than canned responses.

Verizon is "Double Dipping" their customers on their data plans. It's that plain and simple. Verizon can go in and change what their plans include any time they want. So Basically they got caught double charging for unlimited data, went in and changed a couple of their plans to state that Unlimited Data does not include Hotspot.

I had a Verizon Unlimited plan my last 2 year go around and had no issues with sharing WiFi or Hotspot.

Now I reenlist for another 2 years in the Verizon Army, ASSUMING everything will stay the same, the only thing that will change is my new phone.

Until I try to use the Hotspot feature,,,,, Now I am restricted and Verizon is trying to tell me I signed up for the wrong plan if I want Hotspot. If I would have known this, I would have gone with another carrier.

Also Verizon, Unlimited = un·lim·it·ed/ˌənˈlimidədadjective not limited or restricted in terms of number, quantity, or extent.

I'm not crazy, Unlimited is Unlimited. There are not different levels or degrees of Unlimited.

Very unsatisfied customer.

Shopping for new carrier.

This was a complete customer fraud job here with me.  I went in the store for a completely different issue and The Verizon Sales Consultant said EVERYTHING WAS THE SAME with this new plan and I should switch.  I declined several times and he assured me that it was exactly the same.  Complete lie, NO HOTSPOT which I am required to use for work. Very questionable business practices and I intend to have an attorney involved because I am tires of the garbage from Verizon. My previous UNLIMITED plan was just fine and HAD HOT SPOT!  I am beyond upset with Verizon.  I am petitioning my company to go to ATT or someone else for their telecom needs (about 500 employees).  I will win this one way or another!

We also provide any important plan information for your plan along with the device information and receipt you receive when you upgrade in store. Please reach out to us, and we would be more than happy to help you review your documents, and help get you on the right plan for your needs.

I am beyond disappointed in Verizon. I was ready to upgrade to Share Unlimited, when I discovered that I would lose mobile hotspot. I RARELY use the mobile hotspot feature, but when I do, it's because it's an emergency. My frustration with Verizon is in you charging an additional $45/mo. for three lines, for a basic unlimited plan, while removing features on my existing plan. Why are you charging so much more, if you're going to take away existing features? I can see trading out features for the same amount of money, but charging that much more only to remove features. No. That is not right. Also, I don't care about "Free" Disney+, Discovery+, etc. for 6 months. There's no such thing as "free" and six months? Give me a break. Verizon needs to design packages that actually work for people instead of throwing "perks" into a package, that are not wanted and are unneeded while taking away necessary elements. This is a good way to have me finally leave the provider we've used for 16 years.

I have a Similar problem I Purchased the iPhone 11 Pro and paid $1300 that day to have a phone that was gonna be unlocked and was under the impression by your employee that I would have unlimited data with a hotspot on the $55 plan which I find out this week is not true since I could not get in touch with anyone to speak to because this is a critical issue that I need handled because I work on my iPad from home and I need Unlimited data as well as hotspot.unlimited data as well as hotspot hotspot. I do have everything in writing on the paperwork the day about the phone as to how the plan would be. So I have been back-and-forth with you people and I have been lied to by three of your representatives as to the plans you offer. Since I could not get anyone on the phone yesterday I changed over to the unlimited data plan because I was told it had hotspot only to find out yesterday it did not so I’m messed up I can’t even change my plan back to the $55 plan even to get a hotspot even though the date it was already used so I’m angry !!! When I inquired about the unlock of my phone it was supposed to be 30 days I found out yesterday also that I have another 15 days left before the phone will be even unlocked now I’m really angry because I can’t change companies in which I plan to do. So is there anything you can help with I was even told a ticket was sent into technical support to correct the issue only to be lied to so please tell me what your suggestion would be

sincerely

Carol

As for the SIM unlocking, the policy has been 60 days for a while now. For more information see https://www.verizon.com/about/consumer-safety/device-unlocking-policy

Verizon is such a joke. I switched to the 70 dollar plan and lost my hotspot so I called back and said switch me back to the 50 dollar plan so I can have my hotspot back and they say they have some policy where you can only change your plan 1 time a month. So stupid they love taking your money but as for helping you out? Policy says no.
I hate this joke of company so much they run this phone thing like nazi Germany

Okay Lets get a few things correct here. First and most important is no one has given a correct answer to this thread. How user @TanishaS_VZW  got the correct answer is a mystery.

Now the new Loyalty Unlimited plan does allow hot spot for 5 dollars a month with a limit at 10 Gig. So it is true Verizon wireless employs out sourced phone scam people who think people in the United States are stupid.

Social Economics effects both the employee and employer. There should be a stander plan. Unlimited is impossible. Reasonable is possible.

Social Econ Plan.

no cap voice in areas where possible.

no cap txt

no cap data with throttle limits.

25 gig full throttle data for hotspot. Only counted when hotspot is active.

$50
