Wi-Fi Calling after Change into Another Device

Before I leaved US, I already activated Wi-Fi calling for my device. Currently, I need to change my SIM card into another device (iPhone 6 Plus), and I wonder do I need to reactivate Wi-Fi calling again or not. Based on the description of Wi-Fi calling, I cannot activate Wi-Fi calling outside of US, so I'm really afraid if I switch my SIM card into another device , I cannot use Wi-Fi calling.

I certainly understand the concern, as I would also want to make sure I was set up for success prior to going abroad with my device, JamesZY. I am happy to help answer your question. You would need to activate Wi-Fi calling on the iPhone 6 Plus after you swap your SIM card over, as well as confirm your e911 location once again. This setting is per device, and not attached to your SIM. Does this help to anser your question?

I understand the logic of the entire setting of Wi-Fi calling. My question was can I activate the Wi-Fi Calling on my iPhone 6 Plus outside of US, I'm already in another country? Because my current device already turnned on this function and I want to make sure my other device also can use.

Thanks for your reply, and I want to make sure that we're on the same page. Are you currently outside the US? You also mentioned switching your SIM card. Are you attempting to activate another device while outside the US? With regard to WiFi Calling, if you have the feature active on your number prior to leaving the US, you will be able to use it while traveling abroad.

Yes, I am currently outside of the U.S. Before I leave the U.S., I already enable Wi-Fi calling (for several years). At this time, I would like to move my SIM card from my current device, iPhone XS Max, to another device, an iPhone 6 Plus, and I wonder if I can still activate the WiFi calling.
