I've tried four different times to get my physical SIM converted to an eSIM and get shot down each time I try. It doesn't matter if it's over chat/messages, or on the phone. No matter what I say no one will let me convert this darned thing to an eSIM so I can keep my number overseas and use a local SIM card when travelling.

Yes, if you have a compatible device, you can activate Verizon service with your eSIM and don't need a physical SIM card from Verizon. Visit our support page for more information on activating using the My Verizon app and your eSIM. https://www.verizon.com/support/bring-your-own-device-using-esim-faqs

Note: If you purchase your device from Verizon, it will come with a pre-inserted physical SIM card, which will be used with Verizon service. VCarter_VZW
