I started an account for my 3 kids and father, all of whom live far way. I'm the owner of the account and make all payments. The oddity is my personal phone is covered by my business (which is actually a Verizon corporate account), thus I don't have my own phone on this account. To be clear, this account of mine has 4 phones on it, none of which is actually mine.
The problem is I can no longer log into the online account without the requisite security code being sent to my daughter who lives 3 times zones away. It is infrequent that she sees the text in time and can relay it back to me. This all started about last year as a double verification (which I support).
I just spent 80 minutes on the phone with Verizon and astonishingly there is no way around this. That is, there is no way for me to get the verification code without the intermediary of my kids. They can't send the security number to an email (which is the best solution for me), it MUST be to one of the 4 phone numbers on the account.
Their best solution is that I buy another phone and add it to the account for the sole purpose of being able to log in on line!!
Can anyone else think of a solution?
