I put in an upgrade for my phone on March 6 (upgradig from Pixel 4a to 7). The order flipped to "backordered" overnight and no one is able to cancel it or clear it from my account. I've spent 8 hours on the phone with support and no one can help me. The agents cancel the order but it still appears on my account, and I cannot do anything until the stuck transaction is cleared. I was escalated to Tier 3 technical support but they never called me back though I requested a call back. In fact, I've never actually been called back by support when they say they will. So I have no new phone and no way of moving forward... My phone is held hostage from any transactions while this glitch is stuck on my account. Has anyone had this happen for please tell me someone has the magic words or number to call and get actual help with support.
Did anyone give you a support ticket number you could reference when calling so whomever you're speaking to can look it up? Sorry that Verizon is so tough to deal with when trying to get CS or tech support.
There are some huge discussions going on here and elsewhere on the internet on how Pixel 7 phones have been having assorted issues after the Android 14 update and it looks like a Google problem which has not yet been fixed, so the good news is you might've dodged a bullet there. Of course, if your Pixel 4a is dead or on its last legs, that's not much of a comfort, so hopefully someone gets this order mess straightened out for you soon.
Yes, I've referenced the case #, support confirmation #, etc. At this point I'll take a Pixel 7, 8, event a 6! A working phone at the least.
