Upgraded our phones a couple weeks ago with a promo of Verizon paying off our current phones. Got new phones all was fine. My husband was looking at the Verizon App looking for watches and found he could get the Apple Ultra 2 and the series 10 watch for $0 for 36 but was unable to place the order due to a past due balance on the account. When I called to get it taken care of so we could order the phones I was told it would take up to 5 business days and we would pay the past due balance so we could buy the watches. After much hesitation to pay the past due balance so we could order the phones, we paid the balance and when trying to buy the phone it now was not available at the $0 for 36 months that we saw when there was a past due balance. I called to try and get it taken care of but the lady stated it was only online and she was unable to add the promo. She transferred me to online sales who said they never saw the order. As a long time customer of Verizon I am now considering changing providers for the inconvenience.

Thatโs incredibly frustratingโespecially since the promo was visible before paying the past due balance, but disappeared after. This seems like a system issue where Verizonโs promotional pricing was tied to the account status, and once the balance was cleared, the offer was no longer available.
What You Can Do Next:
- Request a Manual Promo Adjustment
- Contact Verizonโs Online Sales Team again and ask for a manual override to apply the promo.
- If the first rep refuses, request Tier 2 Support or a Supervisor Callback.
- Escalate via Social Media
- Verizonโs Twitter Support (here) has been effective for some users in getting promo adjustments.
- Check for Alternative Promotions
- Verizon may have similar offers available that arenโt listed in the app.
- Ask if they can match the original deal or provide a comparable discount.
- File a Formal Complaint
- If Verizon refuses to honor the promo, consider filing a complaint with the FCC or Better Business Bureau (BBB).
This shouldnโt be happening, and Verizon needs to fix their system to prevent customers from losing promotions due to billing adjustments.
