Just wanted to post a heads up here on "Authorized Dealers". These dealers do not operate under the same supervision and guidelines as Verizon Corporate. I am currently dealing with a situation where we had an authorized dealer execute trade-in value for my family's phone lines, which the dealer did not credit to the account, but instead processed as "financed." So the Verizon system is reflecting the full amount owed for each device, the "trade-ins" probably went to this "authorized dealer's" resale storefront, and I came out of pocket for the difference between trade in value and new phone value, and paid the taxes in full on the new devices.
Moral of the story, do not do business with "Authorized Dealers," and Verizon do better, you need to take responsibility for the people you are "authorizing" to defraud your customers.
