Hey everyone,
I am looking to move my account owner line to another provider due to getting employee pricing but leave the account manager line on Verizon. Do I need to do anything prior to porting my number

Wow. Didn't realize changing the account owner is considered a transfer of service, but that's what I'm understanding now too, from looking elsewhere on the website. According to the Transfer of Service FAQs, if there are already trade-in credits being applied monthly to the line in question BEFORE the transfer, then the trade-in credits will transfer over. However, it looks like a lot of perks won't transfer over and the new account owner will have to sign back up for those. The details are all in the link below:

If that's too much a hassle, I would try asking someone at Verizon if the current Account Manager will still be able to login to your group account as is once you port out your Account Owner line. I'm still worried things could be broken to where nobody will be able to login. Account Managers cannot do some of the functions Account Owners can do, such as edit the security PIN, so you'd have to keep track of those details and keep them in a safe place.

I would make the other person the Account Owner, because porting out your line may otherwise break the login access on the account to where nobody can access it. Billing will also continue to come to you unless you change the payment method to the other person's bank account.

Is there a way to do it where they can still keep their trade in credits for their line and what not? My understanding is that if a line transfer of service is done, all of that is lost.
