After spending 8 plus hours on the phone with Verizon customer service, being  hung up on, transferred back and forth between fraud, customer service and customer care, I WILL BE LEAVING verizon after 20 years of being a customer.

A quick recap.

  • After several hours of talking to Verizon, we have discovered we are victims of Associate Commission Fraud. Verizon says this is not their problem; however, they have been taking my money, so it certainly is.
  • We have been paying for an additional line that is not ours!
  • I THOUGHT I finally found someone to help me from customer care.
    • He told me they suspended the fraudulent line, and would not be responsible for the charges (paying for the rest of the phone). They did not suspend the line as I called it and it is still active. 
    • I am responsible for the charges and they just transferred them to another phone that was paid off, and now has a balance.
    • The phone number in question is deleted from my account but still active and I will have paid for it all.
