Disconnected account login

Recently switched carriers and didn’t realize my Verizon account was going to be disconnected immediately. But the frustrating thing is you’re supposed to be able to log into your Verizon account still for so many days after service is disconnected and it keeps telling me my account is locked for security reasons when I log in. I need a copy of my phone payment plan for my new carrier, and it’s irritating there isn’t an easier way to get this once you’ve already switched carriers.

Once you disconnect your mobile account or port your number to another carrier, you can still access your account up to 6 months after the disconnection date.  You can do this by accessing the Verizon Sign in to a disconnected account pageYou'll need your mobile number, the last name on the account, and the ZIP code for verification.

Once you've entered the correct information, you should be able to access your account details, including your final bill.

I am having the same issue.  I tried to call customer service and won’t connect me to a live person since my number does not exist.  I can’t log into my account.  I am trying to get an itemized bill so I can pay.  Also struggling to get my subscriptions cancelled but can’t log into to get this done.  Chat doesn’t help since I can’t log into.  Calling for me no where.  I need a person to give me a call back.

I’m thinking about stopping into a store and seeing what they can do since calling isn’t getting me anywhere either. As long as you have a balance still,  I don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to easily access your account or talk to someone about it

Hello kayb12. We're happy to help look into this login issue for you as yes, you are able to continue to login to a closed account for a few months after it is disconnected. I'm sending you a Private Message here so we can assist.

Is this something managed under +play?  If so, I think you're supposed to use your User ID (the one which was associated with your former My Verizon account) to login to +play instead of the phone number.

I've heard using your User ID and not the phone number is supposed to work for 6 months with the My Verizon login?  Final bills will be sent via snail mail.  You can also try the one time bill pay site to see if anything comes up and take a screenshot for your new carrier's promotion.  The bills will generate at what would have been the end of the billing cycle if you were still with Verizon.  Takes about 2 months for everything to clear out, so your first "last bill" may be only for your last month's service costs.  The final bill will have balances due on devices, if that applies to you.

When I use my User ID, just tried it, it prompts me to send a code to a phone for authorization, but the phone number listed isn’t my number probably because I switched carriers. Not sure where they got the number it’s showing for authorization. The account being locked for security reasons is when I use my phone number. I’ll just have to wait till I get something in the mail from them and go from there. I figured I’d get one more bill after this last one for the device payment. Thank you for the help!

Ugh.  Sorry to hear you can't receive the 2FA code while using your User ID on My Verizon.  As for the "locked for security" when using your phone number, it's because Verizon doesn't control your number any more, and your account is in a purgatory of sorts.  There's a short holding period (45 days?) where your account is in "winback" status just in case you decide to return to Verizon quickly, in which everything can be reinstated from where you left off and any contracts in progress will resume without penalty.

I'm guessing you can't manually change the phone number which is showing up for the 2FA.  If not, then you will have to wait for the 2nd snail mail bill to arrive showing the device payoffs.
