How to talk to a human on chat when service is disconnected.

I have tried for two days to get a human being on the chat. It will not let me because my service is disconnected. I have tried for hours over two days. I use my phone and laptop to work and my spouse is in the hospital so I cannot even get updates when I have to leave the hospital. How do I get help with this? If I can’t work I cant pay and when I have to leave to work away from him on days I work in person I have no contact with the hospital. I really could use some help here. Does anyone have advice because I can not get a human and I am two days into trying. This is embarrassing but also so frustrating when you pay thousands a year and cannot get help.

I'd borrow a phone and call instead of using the live chat, which sometimes makes me wonder if it isn't AI anyway. Whomever you get will probably pester you to pay your bill though, before you can really get anywhere.
Since your service is disconnected, you probably can't login to My Verizon, so use the one-time payment site which doesn't require a login to pay your balance:

I was in the middle of chatting with an agent to disconnect my service, and sort out the final bill. However, it got disconnected and were never able to get connected again. WHY?
