A few months ago (!) I changed from a prepaid account to a contract account with unlimited data. I can't access my account anymore and I can't create a new one. I have been on the phone several times and "chatted" with some very nice people who can't seem to fix this for me. I'm irritated that I ever changed because this is just getting ridiculous. I'd like to set up auto pay (and get a discount) but I can't do that. I can't get rid of the insurance on my phone that I feel I was pressured into buying.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution? Can someone from Verizon please help? I've been a customer of yours now for 12, going on 13 years.

Hey there, RedPanda96, we know how important it is to be able to manage your account via My Verizon! Can you tell us more about what's going on when trying to register for an account after switching over to postpay?

You will need to register for a new account for the postpaid account. I would suggest that you either change your username or the email address to be associated with the new account so it will be different from the login information used for the previous prepaid account.
You might have to utilize the VZW reps to remove all references to your old account that was associated with your phone number. I remember I had that issue years ago when I was briefly with another carrier and came back to Verizon Wireless under a new account with a temporary phone number. I changed my login username and the email address from the previous account. However, I discovered when I ported over my original phone number, one notification setting in the new account for a bill payment (I think) was still using an email address I used for my old account and it had populated once the phone number ported back to Verizon. This led to me giving notifications to two separate email addresses. I ended up having a VZW rep go through all the email address fields for my account to find that one field and remove the email address I didn't want used for the account.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
