I installed a new network extender sent from verizon
My service status is "Active" on the extender
I cant get any phone to connect to it
When I dial *48 I get "you are not under network extender coverage" message
I can connect to it with my computer (http://192.168.1.6/#about/status)
but I don't see any way to activate it

If the display status says 'Active', then the network servers have the MAC ID registered. Whether it is registered to your account properly is the question. If you log in to your My Verizon account via a browser and select Account-> My Devices-> Device Overview you should see the network extender if registered to your account properly. If it is there, the Access Mode might be set to CLOSED which means only phone numbers on your account in an Access List can connect to the extender. Whether you can manage a network extender registered to your account (changing Access Mode, creating/changing Access List) remains to be seen as the website pages are broken and support for this has declined.
