I had a Verizon home account that I closed in December of 2021 when moving. I left a forwarding address to my office but have never resumed service once moved. Throughout 2022 there was of course no activity and a $0 balance since I hade closed the account. As of January 2023, I have suddenly started to get a monthly statement for this closed account at my office with a negative $0.17 balance. Speaking with customer service, twice now, they say not to worry about it and that it is just a "tax adjustment". Is it normal for tax adjustments to be made in accounts that have been closed for over a year as that seems a bit odd? Also, is there a way to completely close out my account and remove all my info to prevent any further activity. Anybody with any insight, input, or suggestions would be greatly welcomed.
