Questions on transferring my parents devices to my account and plan

My elderly parents have a Verizon account with two iphones and a Verizon Home Phone (brings landline in through the device) device.  I have an account with my wife and mother-in-law with three iphones and an Apple Watch, and we share one plan.

I am unable help my parents manage their account due to our distance, plus for them to log on to VerizonWireless.com requires one of them getting on their iphone for the verification text, and they are not good enough at the phone to find and give me the number.

So, I'm thinking of transferring their devices to my account when I am down visiting them next week, and closing their account.  I have read the pages on how to do this.  I have outstanding questions:

1. Will there be any issue because we are in separate locations (not for the transfer, but ongoing)?

2. When I transfer, will II be able to add their devices to my current plan?  It's a good plan, a "Do More Unlimited" and I hate to lose it.

3. I am not sure if they are renting or own the Verizon Home Phone device. If so, is that a problem? If it's a matter of paying something off would I be able to do it through this process?

Thanks!

These are great questions. In regard to the plan, you may not be able to add them to the exact plan you have, as that plan is no longer available. The location difference will not cause any issues.

In regard to the device, if they are still paying on it monthly, the payment agreement will transfer with the line if you are able to qualify for the amount that is financed. ~Peter
