Reclaim a phone number

Hello.

Last August 2024, I let go of one of the five cell phone numbers used by my family at Tmobile. But now I need this number back. Calling the number confirms that it is now a Verizon number and that it is still disconnected. I am willing to open a Verizon account to have the number back, but, sadly, a Verizon Sales representative says it is impossible to get a specific number with them when I open an account. Yet I know that businesses, for example, sometimes get specific numbers that are easy to remember or spell out something relevant to their business. So it must be possible to request a specific number, right?

I really urgently need the number back. Does anyone know how to do this, or who at Verizon I should talk to?

Hi

This happened to me, the way i got my number back was,

Verizon lets you request the first 6 digits when creating an account, but once you create the entire account you can request the entire number if its not given to someone else already, once i got my number back i transferred that number to my original plan.

Your number might called an aging number so when you speak to them make sure to mention that it might be an aging number.
