I am trying to remove a network extender from the list of devices that appears on my online account. I got rid of the network extender a long time ago. I know Verizon isn't charging me anything for it, but it's annoying that it's still there and the website does not provide a means to delete it.
Yesterday I engaged in a lengthy but useless chat session. I had to go around the same circle multiple times before a presumably real human responded. It took awhile to explain to her what I wanted, mainly because she forced me to go around even more circles. Finally she created a tech support ticket, but then she told me to keep the chat open and stay logged onto the Verizon website. When I explained to her that I couldn't do that, she told me the chat would stay open even if I logged off. (!!!)
Given that I at least had a ticket number, I decided to quit pounding my head against the cement and logged off. When I accessed my account this morning to see if anything had changed, the website immediately prompted me to add an E911 address for the network extender. (Go figure!) I added my address, just to see what if anything that did. Nada!
So I am back where I started. How do I remove the network extender from my list of devices???
And how do I check the status of the ticket???

I've seen this question asked before. A longtime user who has several dead/obsolete extenders says there is no way to remove them from your account. โน๏ธ At least you've only got one which is tattooed on your account forever, but yeah, that's annoying. Your ticket is surely going to get closed without a resolution, sorry.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Thanks for the prompt response, even though it's not exactly what I wanted to hear...
I got rid of the extender because it took up too much space and generated a lot of heat, all the while not doing much for me. Not having the same issues anymore, so it didn't make much difference.
